We come to the exchange from many cultures and backgrounds. While at the conference it is important that our lives are a Christian witness to the people in the area and that we not be a “stumbling block” to any of the participants at the conference. For this reason it is expected that our testimony and witness be in keeping with the Covenant of YEX.
As a participant in YEX

To refrain from the use of alcoholic beverages, non- prescriptive drugs and tobacco during the Conference.
To respect the Conference Centre and grounds by the proper disposal of litter and the avoidance of vandalism.
To respect all persons and relationships at the Conference.
Note: I understand the need to abide by this agreement. I recognize the need to live by the Conference schedule regarding meals, sleep, programme; to remain on the Conference site;
and to honour privacy in designated sleeping areas. For the good of the Conference and the Community, I promise to live by this Covenant during the International Youth Exchange.
